Last summer, Caleb “The Other Caleb” Cleveland asked me to write a short script for him to draw as his new samples. I told him to pick a character from Marvel and a character from DC. He chose Thor and Sandman and I wrote a short crossover.

Being for art samples, the script was written to tell its tale with no words, sound effects or colors. I also tried to do it in a way that Thor and Sandman each got 2 pages focused on them, in case Caleb ran into a situation where one publisher didn’t want to (or legally couldn’t) see samples with someone else’s characters (or their own).

And here’s the result:
