I’m afraid I no longer have time to keep this page as updated as I would like (as you may have noticed), so some of the links will be broken. I am currently experimenting with throwing interesting links onto my Creator Help Tumblr when I come across them.
submission guidelines
There are somewhere over 80 publishers included here. I have not worked with most and do not vouch for any. Sometimes a company’s website can outlive the company itself. Please use discretion and common sense when you are considering submitting to any given publisher.
A NOTE TO WRITERS: The publishers marked with a ” * ” will look at writing submissions without an artist attached. Or at least that’s what their guidelines say.

the engine
THE ENGINE (a 2-year message board experiment conducted by Warren Ellis from September 2005 through August 2007) has, alas, passed away and is no more. It was many things, including a singular web location for observing comic pros discussing comics and comic theory. Before the board closed I saved as many discussions as I could as reference for up-and-coming creators.
